The hidden truth...

As dark as chocolate, as white as snow
My love for you was pristine, never tainted
With no qualms, I embraced life only to know
I am still like the wall that never got painted

Love that fades...

Sweet scent of flower in the pink of its blossom,
Tempting odour of earth during the first drip of monsoon
Much alike the savour of love at heart’s bottom,
Brings delight of heaven, but fades away soon, very soon!

Lesson of "SOMETHING" in life!

You do something, that’s 'in' your nature..
You get something, that’s because of your karma!
Somebody does something to you, that’s what you deserve!
You do something to somebody?
Who the hell are you? That’s none of your business!!

Can we be friends forever?

Are you one who believes that ‘Friends Forever’ is just a worn-out phrase you find in greeting cards, soft toys and wish lists? Then you have a positive attitude! You are a firm believer in ‘hook-ups’ and ‘break-ups’. You don’t really care whether your friends are truthful, trustworthy or really going to be there ‘forever’. Come what may, you know, you can never fall short of friends - you have lots of them! What you have is ‘FRIENDS ON THE GO’. You don’t mind losing some in your stride. Do you?

Do you have a friend who's literally been there since you started spelling out the word ‘friendship’, someone whom you could call your childhood ‘chuddi’ buddy? Then what you have is an OLD FRIEND who could become obsolete anytime. You are lucky enough to have found a true friend, but only till you have the friend by your side! Can he/she be there forever? Ask yourself.

Do you have a ‘best’ friend who promised to stay by your side forever? Then you are in for a surprise! Do not take that friend for granted ever! He/she really means it. Never think that your best friend has surrendered to you by this commitment and he/she will never leave you and go. Because when he/she says ‘We shall be FRIENDS FOREVER’, it points to this meaning:
"FRIENDS For Only Receiving Everything Vile, Ensuring Respite"

Moral:
Trust your old friends and keep making new friends on the go... because nothing lasts forever!

Capsicums, Onions, and Mushrooms

It’s been a while (and I feel like it’s been ages) I ate this sandwich named “Capsicums, Onions, and Mushrooms” in the cafeteria of one of my previous companies (the best company I worked for, so far) where I used to spend time eating and chatting (the best of times) with my colleagues and friends (the best of friends). I had a special fantasy for this sandwich not because of the mix of ‘pure-veg’ ingredients it contained within, nor because I liked the taste so much! It was all in it’s name… more so with the way it was pronounced by one of my friends—obviously she pronounced it well—but there was something which hit my brain or maybe heart constantly whenever she used to name that sandwich. The way she pronounced it could be described as the amalgamation of consonants and vowels resulting in a sweet delivery of words with musical syllables. Ooh!! Not digestible? To be realistic, I always felt it pleasant and wanted her to repeat it again and again… and I did make her do so quite often! There was this notable harmony, rhythm, and sweetness in her speech whenever she said “Capsicums, Onions, and Mushrooms”….and when the three words touched my eardrums, I felt like I was listening to a play school girl singing “Twinke Twinkle...”, a guitarist playing the right chords, a drummer striking the right beat, and a nightingale humming the right lyrics – all in unison!
Since long, I had no access to the mystic sandwich nor the mesmeric voice. But I always wondered what was so special about the name of the sandwich or was it only the voice! Then I googled, wikied, and yahooed, and came up with a surprising analogy:
“Capsicum is a great hyper-sensitizer and pain reliever; onions have these alleged aphrodisiac properties, and mushrooms are well known for their psychedelic properties!"

From recession to depression

I need a recess (break) from this recession.
As a common man, I could only recall this word as a part of the Economics glossary. I never thought this word would ever impact my life directly - as I had never dealt with stocks!
Initially it was the stock market declines that made way for the headlines; now it's the 'heads' that are being hit in the receding job market. I always thought I was safe until I had something productive to do at work. But when I saw my community folks being shown the door without a logical reasoning, the situation sounded alarming! So now, it only makes me question my soul - "Am I next in the line?"
So what's the solution? Can I change the situation by making some contribution from my end? Had it been about global warming, I would have proudly stepped in to plant a tree or two. But I wonder how can I make the economy grow?
I can only wish this downturn in the business economy does not send me into depression!
